18 killed, 40 injured in shrine explosion

JHAL MAGSI Oct 5 (PPI): Eighteen people including Police Head constable were killed and 40 others sustained injuries in a suicide attack at Dargah Fateh Pur Jhal Magsi Thursday. Injured were shifted to district headquarters hospital Gandava.
Eye witnesses told that a man tried to force his entry into the shrine from the gate .He was stopped by Police Head constable present at the Gate. In the meanwhile an explosion took palace. Seventeen people were killed and 40 others were injured. People resent on the occasion shifted dead and injured were to hospital at their own to Dera Murad Jamali, Dera Allah Yar and Bakhtiarabad.
Security forces assume control of Dargah and tightened the security.
Provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch while strongly condemning the explosion at the shrine declared emergency at the hospitals in Dera Murad Jamali, Dera Allah Yar, Bakhtiarabad and others and issued for best possible treatment of injured people.
Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti while condemning the explosion said that people should support forces to foil enemy’s conspiracies and provide timely information of suspect’s people to them.
He told that explosion in Fateh Pur was suicide and its target was security officials.
Deputy Commissioner Jhal Magsi Asadullah Kakar told that explosion took place at the gate of shrine.
It is added here that on every 7th and 15th of Islamic month a ceremony is held at the shrine in which large number of faithful participate.
