QUETTA Feb 17 (PPI): Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has said that making police authoritative in the province it has been freed from all sorts of pressure to ensure lasting peace. Police faces numerous challenges. Target killing, terrorism and attacks on forces were matter of concern but it is satisfying that police and security forces were facing this situation with bravery and ensuring security to life and property of people by sacrificing their lives.
He expressed these views while addressing passing out of 7 th badge at ATF Training School here Saturday.
Provincial ministers, MPAs, Chief Secretary, IG Police Balochistan, Commandant Balochistan Constabulary, Commandant PTCATF and other senior police and FC officers were also present.
Chief Minister said police would be provided with weapons, vehicles and other necessary equipment to establish it on modern lines and every requirement of police would be made up.
He said police enjoys support of State and Assistance of Almighty Allah in struggle for establishing peace in the province. We have to defeated dirty designs of enemy. He said to better face terrorism professional training is very much necessary and without it facing terrorism is quite difficult task.
Expressing professional training of ATF Chief Minister said he appreciated ATF Training Centre its professional training. He advised those passing out that after training ATF should be more effective in discharge of its duty. They must ensure dignity of human rights and dignity of people and ensure security to life and property of people.
He said all resources would be mobilized to meet requirements of police force and their welfare. Upgradation of policemen is part of this so that they are free of their economic worries and discharge their duty with peace fo mind.
He also announced cash prizes for policemen showing excellent performance and distributed certificates among them
Earlier Chief Minister was presented Salute and ATF officials showed practical demo of training phases.
Addressing the ceremony Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that joint efforts for sustainable peace in Balochistan were bearing fruit and peace and prosperity was returning to the province. Security of life and property of people is responsibility of State which it was mobilizing all available resources. Police and security forces martyrs light were giving us light of peace. We cannot forget sacrifices of our martyrs. Training of ATF to Jawans of police force would have positive results. He said by strengthening these institutions we can end terrorism. He said Police, ATF and security forces are with us and we can provide security to the people without any fear.
Inspector General Police Moazzam Jah Ansari said that terrorism is biggest problem of modern day for all. Opportunist elements were enticing people to destroy peace, unity and solidarity. He said Balochistan Government should provide necessary resources to police and steps announced for resolving its problems and difficulties would help achieving targets in war on terror and establishing peace.
He said prior to 2013 there was no training institution for ATF in Balochistan and first institution was setup in 2013 from where seventh badge was passing out today. He said some 1500 personnel were discharging their duty in different parts of Balochistan after their training. He said Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo patronized Balochistan Police by attending two ceremonies of police in week’s time and hoped that would continue ahead.
IG Police said more training centres are needed in every division of Balochistan. He said police is fully aware of its duty and its every jawans was imbibed with spirit of sacrifice.
